YouTube Video Size does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any user data. This page explains exactly what the extension does and doesn't do.

What the extension does

The extension runs only on YouTube video pages. When you open the settings menu, it reads the video quality and file-size information that YouTube's own player has already loaded for normal playback, and displays an estimated size next to each quality option.

What data is collected

None. The extension has no server, makes no network requests of its own, and uses no analytics, tracking, or third-party services of any kind. All calculations happen locally in your browser and are discarded when you close or refresh the page.

Permissions

The extension only runs on youtube.com/watch pages, which is required to read the page's player data and display badges in the settings menu. It requests no other permissions.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the update will be published on this same page with a revised "last updated" date.
